I am very excited to be working with Rest My Best and helping you get back to a good night’s sleep using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Insomnia. Having been an Occupational Therapist for over 12 years I am looking forward to using the CBT for insomnia approach because it works.

sleep isn’t optional, it’s an important life skill. possibly the most important life skill you could ever have.

I have spent my career working in Mental Health and Addiction, from mental health crisis outreach to counseling support for addiction issues and everything in between.

Most of my practice was in Vancouver, BC, until I moved back to my hometown of Stratford, ON, in 2021.

I worked in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, providing outreach support to street-entrenched individuals with mental health and addiction challenges. I also worked at an opiate replacement clinic providing both 1:1 and group support for clients, using CBT as an approach for anxiety and addiction.

In Stratford, I support the police in responding to mental health and addiction crises.

These varied and, at times, intense experiences have developed my skills in assessing and specializing my approach to each individual. Over a decade of work has taught me the importance of sleep and the devastating impact insomnia has on quality of life and overall happiness. I also know CBT-I is the gold standard treatment for insomnia, and I believe in this approach.
